Other activities

The Functional Analysis Unit conducts various types of activities aimed at the general public through several associations and events highlighted below.

  • The Belgian Mathematical Society (BMS) aims to bring together all Belgian mathematicians through different events such as
    • the “Young Scholar Day,” which seeks to provide belgian young researchers in mathematics the opportunity to meet and present their works.
    • the symposium “Recent Breakthroughs in Mathematics,” showcasing the work of the laureates of the “BMS Young Scholar Award” as well as the work of some laureates of the Fields Medal and the Abel Prize.
  • The MATh.en.JEANS Belgium Association aims to introduce secondary school students to a relaxed and playful aspect of the research world by having them work for an entire year on a mathematical problem created for them.
