Cette discipline m\u00ealant biologie, physique et ing\u00e9nierie \u00e9tudie comment les forces m\u00e9caniques influencent le comportement cellulaire. Tous les deux ans, chercheurs confirm\u00e9s et jeunes scientifiques se retrouvent pour partager leurs d\u00e9couvertes, discuter des nouvelles technologies d\u2019imagerie ou encore explorer les applications biom\u00e9dicales \u00e9mergentes. L\u2019\u00e9dition 2025, organis\u00e9e conjointement par l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Mons et la KU Leuven, s\u2019est tenue dans la ville de Louvain, choisie pour la qualit\u00e9 de ses infrastructures et sa situation centrale.<\/p>\n<h5>Un rassemblement d\u2019experts<\/h5>\n<p>Pendant quatre jours, le programme a altern\u00e9 keynotes inspirantes, sessions de conf\u00e9rences pointues et pr\u00e9sentations de posters couvrant les derni\u00e8res avanc\u00e9es en biophysique cellulaire, en biomat\u00e9riaux ou encore en mod\u00e9lisation m\u00e9canique des tissus vivants. L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement a \u00e9galement mis\u00e9 sur la convivialit\u00e9, notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un Gala Diner tr\u00e8s appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 qui a favoris\u00e9 les \u00e9changes informels entre chercheurs du monde entier. Cette \u00e9dition s\u2019est aussi distingu\u00e9e par une initiative originale : une exposition de photos scientifiques, imagin\u00e9e comme un dialogue entre art et science.<br \/>\n\u00ab <em>Nous travaillons beaucoup avec l\u2019optique et l\u2019imagerie<\/em>, explique le Professeur Sylvain Gabriele, directeur de l\u2019Institut biosciences et responsable du Service du Laboratoire Interfaces et Fluides Complexes. <em>Au-del\u00e0 de la recherche fondamentale, nous obtenons souvent des images qui ont une vraie dimension esth\u00e9tique. Nous avons re\u00e7u 24 contributions de jeunes chercheurs qui ont su r\u00e9v\u00e9ler le c\u00f4t\u00e9 po\u00e9tique de nos travaux.<\/em> \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Ce concours photo, v\u00e9ritable passerelle entre rigueur scientifique et sensibilit\u00e9 artistique, a rencontr\u00e9 un grand succ\u00e8s aupr\u00e8s des participants et du public. Une exp\u00e9rience que l\u2019\u00e9quipe organisatrice esp\u00e8re revoir lors de la prochaine \u00e9dition.
