Face \u00e0 un probl\u00e8me avanc\u00e9 sur un sujet de pointe de son choix, le futur ing\u00e9nieur est invit\u00e9 \u00e0 exercer sa cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 personnelle, dans une d\u00e9marche scientifique rigoureuse en vue de d\u00e9velopper une solution innovante et performante. Pour ce faire, il peut s\u2019appuyer sur l\u2019encadrement d\u2019un enseignant-chercheur, et le plus souvent, il s\u2019inscrit dans une \u00e9quipe de recherche.
