\nMore than 11,500 students enrolled at UMONS are members of associations within their respective faculties or schools. These associations organize festive activities throughout the academic year, such as theme nights, cultural outings, ski trips, and academic balls, in order to strike a pleasant balance between studies and leisure. They also ensure that newcomers are integrated into the community.<\/p>\n
\nUniversity life extends beyond lecture halls and laboratories. The Sports Unit allows students and staff members to participate in sports activities organized within the University. \nSince 2010, all Student General Assemblies have participated in the University of Mons’ 4h Cuistax. Over the years, this friendly and good-natured event has attracted new participants such as the administrative staff, academic staff, and CampusUCharleroi.<\/li>\n
\nThe Coupe du Mons is Mons’ must-see sporting event! It is the biggest football tournament for university and college students in Belgium. With more than 1,000 players, the Coupe du Mons is organized by the students of Warocqu\u00e9.
