{"id":1955,"date":"2023-06-26T15:46:02","date_gmt":"2023-06-26T13:46:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.umons.ac.be\/fs\/?p=1955"},"modified":"2023-06-30T08:33:50","modified_gmt":"2023-06-30T06:33:50","slug":"premiere-a-lumons-antoine-va-defendre-une-these-en-philosophie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.umons.ac.be\/fs\/fr\/premiere-a-lumons-antoine-va-defendre-une-these-en-philosophie\/","title":{"rendered":"Premi\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019UMONS : Antoine va d\u00e9fendre une th\u00e8se en Philosophie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Antoine Brandelet sera donc le tout premier doctorant de l\u2019UMONS a d\u00e9fendre une th\u00e8se en philosophie. \u00ab\u00a0J\u2019ai suivi un cursus de physique \u00e0 Mons, avant de me tourner vers la philosophie des sciences et de faire une th\u00e8se dans le service de Philosophie et Histoire des Sciences, qui est rattach\u00e9 \u00e0 la Facult\u00e9 des Sciences\u00a0\u00bb, explique Antoine, dont la dissertation de doctorat est intitul\u00e9e <a href=\"https:\/\/web.umons.ac.be\/fs\/fr\/evenements\/defense-publique-de-la-dissertation-de-doctorat-de-monsieur-antoine-brandelet\/\">\u00ab\u00a0Le r\u00e9alisme scientifique \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve de la fiction \u00bb<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fruit d\u2019une collaboration entre l\u2019UMONS et l\u2019UNamur, ce travail porte sur le th\u00e8me du r\u00e9alisme scientifique, qui comme l\u2019explique Antoine, \u00ab\u00a0est une th\u00e8se centrale de la philosophie des sciences. C\u2019est m\u00eame l\u2019une des conceptions philosophiques les plus discut\u00e9es et d\u00e9battues.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le but de cette th\u00e8se est double.\u00a0<\/strong> \u00ab\u00a0D\u2019une part, j\u2019utilise les ressources mises en place par plusieurs philosophes pour traiter du probl\u00e8me de la repr\u00e9sentation afin de montrer qu\u2019une position qui consid\u00e8re les mod\u00e8les comme des fictions n\u2019entra\u00eene pas forc\u00e9ment une position anti-r\u00e9aliste, tout en permettant \u00e9galement d\u2019expliquer plus efficacement une part importante de l\u2019activit\u00e9 scientifique de mod\u00e9lisation\u00a0\u00bb, r\u00e9sume le doctorant.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Dans un second temps, j\u2019explicite les contraintes qu\u2019une telle conception exerce sur le r\u00e9alisme et sur la notion de mod\u00e8le explicatif.
