Elles ressentent par exemple la pression et l\u2019\u00e9tirement des tissus qui les entourent, tout en produisant leurs propres forces pour se d\u00e9placer, se multiplier ou fa\u00e7onner les organes. Ces forces, invisibles mais essentielles, r\u00e9gulent le bon fonctionnement des tissus et peuvent jouer un r\u00f4le d\u00e9cisif dans l\u2019apparition de nombreuses maladies.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Explorer la biologie \u00e0 travers la m\u00e9canique du vivant<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>La\u00a0m\u00e9canobiologie\u00a0est un domaine de recherche en plein essor, \u00e0 l\u2019interface de la\u00a0biologie, de la\u00a0physico-chimie\u00a0et des microtechnologies. Elle \u00e9tudie comment les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques de l\u2019environnement cellulaire, comme la\u00a0rigidit\u00e9\u00a0ou la\u00a0forme\u00a0des tissus, influencent la mani\u00e8re dont les cellules se comportent, migrent et interagissent.<\/p>\n<p>En quelques ann\u00e9es, cette approche a transform\u00e9 notre compr\u00e9hension de processus biologiques majeurs impliqu\u00e9s dans les\u00a0cancers, les\u00a0maladies cardiovasculaires ou neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives, ouvrant la voie \u00e0 de nouveaux outils de diagnostic et \u00e0 des th\u00e9rapies innovantes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab <em>La m\u00e9canobiologie r\u00e9v\u00e8le comment les cellules per\u00e7oivent les forces physiques de leur environnement et s\u2019y adaptent. Ces d\u00e9couvertes transforment notre compr\u00e9hension des maladies et ouvrent la voie \u00e0 une v\u00e9ritable\u00a0m\u00e9canom\u00e9decine, o\u00f9 les forces deviennent des cibles th\u00e9rapeutiques<\/em> \u00bb, explique\u00a0Sylvain Gabriele, co-auteur de l\u2019\u00e9tude.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Vers une nouvelle m\u00e9decine fond\u00e9e sur les forces<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>L\u2019article publi\u00e9 dans la revue internationale <em>Science Advances<\/em>\u00a0met en avant l\u2019\u00e9mergence d\u2019une nouvelle discipline: la\u00a0m\u00e9canom\u00e9decine, qui vise \u00e0 int\u00e9grer les principes de la m\u00e9canique cellulaire au c\u0153ur de la pratique m\u00e9dicale.<\/p>\n<p>Les chercheurs y d\u00e9crivent comment des\u00a0outils biophysiques de pointe, tels que les nouveaux biomat\u00e9riaux, la microimpression de prot\u00e9ines, les\u00a0syst\u00e8mes microfluidiques, les organo\u00efdes ou encore les\u00a0dispositifs de laboratoire sur puce, permettent d\u00e9sormais de d\u00e9crypter comment les cellules per\u00e7oivent et traduisent les forces m\u00e9caniques en r\u00e9ponses biologiques mesurables.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab <em>Ces travaux d\u00e9montrent que la m\u00e9canique cellulaire n\u2019est pas une curiosit\u00e9 scientifique, mais un pilier central de la m\u00e9decine de demain. En comprenant comment les forces influencent la r\u00e9ponse des cellules, nous pourrons ouvrir la voie \u00e0 de\u00a0nouvelles th\u00e9rapies personnalis\u00e9es capables de corriger les d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibres m\u00e9caniques \u00e0 l\u2019origine de nombreuses pathologies <\/em>\u00bb<em>,<\/em> ajoute\u00a0Marine Luciano, co-autrice principale.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Une passerelle entre la physico-chimie et la m\u00e9decine<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>La m\u00e9canobiologie constitue une passerelle unique entre la recherche fondamentale et la m\u00e9decine clinique.
