Danah\u00e9 Mohammed, currently a PhD researcher working in the Interfaces and Complex Fluids Laboratory of the Chemistry Department of the UMONS Faculty of Science, will soon embark on a post-doc within Prof. David A. Weitz\u2019s department at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. From October 2018 until September 2019, she will be researching the migration mechanisms of healthy and cancerous cells.<\/p>\n

The Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF) has just awarded a postdoc fellowship to a UMONS researcher.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Danah\u00e9 Mohammed, from Belgium, already has a PhD in Science and has previously spent three months at University College London. She was awarded this BAEF postdoctoral fellowship after coming 20th<\/sup> out of 117 candidates.<\/p>\n Every year, the recipients of the BAEF fellowship benefit from an all-expenses-paid experience (including health insurance) and are able to refine their academic skills across the Atlantic at some of the most prestigious institutions, such as Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and MIT.<\/p>\n For a chance to receive a BAEF fellowship, it is necessary to have a strong CV, and be prepared for the interviews in English. In fact, UMONS candidates can receive the support and advice of the Dean of the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation (FTI-EII) in order to best prepare their application.
