Thus, it offers its expertise in the following areas :<\/p>\n<p><strong>Environmental issues<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Geological risks: soil collapse, ground movements, detection and delimitation of old foundations and mines ;<\/li>\n<li>Search for natural or anthropic cavities, networks, buried objects, underground anomalies ;<\/li>\n<li>Karst studies ;<\/li>\n<li>Detection of spring supply areas, determination of catchment well locations, delineation of former landfills ;<\/li>\n<li>Detection of bodies, magnetic masses, seams, &#8230; ;<\/li>\n<li>Radon detection (second major cause of lung cancer).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mining prospecting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recognition of the deposit: geological limits, lateral variations, faults, &#8230; ;<\/li>\n<li>Search for old mining works (mine shafts, galleries, etc.) ;<\/li>\n<li>Thickness and extension of the cover lands ;<\/li>\n<li>Search for cryptokarstification, alteration corridors, faults, &#8230; .<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Subsurface mapping and imaging<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Auscultation and characterization of the integrity of art works; ;<\/li>\n<li>Determining the limits of rippability ;<\/li>\n<li>Computer processing and development of new applications ;<\/li>\n<li>2D or 3D geological modeling ;<\/li>\n<li>Mapping of measurements and associated database.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We propose to examine together the solutions best adapted to your problem, both on the technical and financial levels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Geophysics Unit of the Department of Fundamental and Applied Geology (Polytechnic Faculty) has accumulated over the years an important experience in various fields of geological exploration.
