The laureate of the <strong>Francqui Chair 2022-2023 for the University of Mons is Prof. Pedro J. He is the head of the Research Group of High Performance Machining, composed of 26 members for a budget around 900,000 <span style=\"font-size: 14px; text-align: justify;\">euros. His activities focus on the study, understanding and optimisation of machining operations in experimental and numerical ways, mainly for metals. Prof. Pe<\/span>dro J. Arrazola is \u00ab\u00a0Fellow Member\u00a0\u00bb of the prestigious CIRP (the international academy for production engineering). He was secretary of the Scientific Technical Committee for cutting (STC-C) from 2018 to 2022; he is currently vice-chairman. He is also member of the Credentials Committee of CIRP since 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5>Schedule<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the framework of his Francqui Chair, Prof. Pedro J.
