{"id":17,"date":"2021-11-24T10:14:42","date_gmt":"2021-11-24T09:14:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.umons.ac.be\/infco\/research-activities\/"},"modified":"2021-11-24T10:39:16","modified_gmt":"2021-11-24T09:39:16","slug":"research-activities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.umons.ac.be\/infco\/en\/research-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Research activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The research activities of the Information and Communication Unit are currently carried out in three main axes of research :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Professional identities, careers, employment and working conditions in journalism ;<\/li>\n<li>The evolution of the media sector, organisational contexts and working relationships ;<\/li>\n<li>Changes, innovations and permanence of journalistic practices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The unit supervises several doctoral theses. It is also closely associated with the Laboratory of Journalistic Practices and Identities (LaPIJ), an inter-university research center based at the University of Brussels and at the University of Mons, in close partnership with the University of Montreal, the University of Br\u00e1silia, and the Federal University of Bahia. In 2021, it brings together nearly thirty researchers working on issues in the sociology of journalism, and more broadly on journalism studies.
