The unit supervises several doctoral theses. It is also closely associated with the Laboratory of Journalistic Practices and Identities (LaPIJ), an inter-university research center based at the University of Brussels and at the University of Mons, in close partnership with the University of Montreal, the University of Br\u00e1silia, and the Federal University of Bahia. In 2021, it brings together nearly thirty researchers working on issues in the sociology of journalism, and more broadly on journalism studies. The Information and Communication unit works to forge important links with other institutional partners, as well as with actors in the Belgian media sector, notably by conducting action research projects.<\/p>\n
