On Thursday, May 15, 2025<\/strong>, the ISIA Lab<\/strong> had the pleasure of participating in XR CONNECT<\/strong>, an event organized by Stereopsia<\/strong><\/a> and XR Wallonia HITT<\/strong><\/a>, hosted at the A6K<\/strong><\/a> tech hub in Charleroi. The afternoon and evening were filled with networking, demos, and talks around immersive technologies (XR, AR, VR, MR), bringing together industrial, academic, and institutional stakeholders.<\/p>\n The event\u2019s goal was to bridge immersive use cases with Wallonia\u2019s strategic economic sectors<\/strong>, highlighting concrete and innovative XR applications.<\/p>\n Highlights of the day included:<\/p>\n Several research initiatives led by ISIA Lab (UMONS)<\/strong> were spotlighted during the event, particularly PhD theses funded by the Wal4XR program<\/strong>:<\/p>\n These projects align with HITT\u2019s mission<\/strong>: transferring immersive technologies into strategic industrial sectors while promoting scientific excellence and regional development.<\/p>\n Alongside partners such as le CLICK<\/strong>, Technocit\u00e9<\/strong>, and Deloitte Digital<\/strong>, our lab actively contributes to building a more innovative and immersive Wallonia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \ud83c\udfa5 Below is a short video from le CLICK<\/strong> recapping the event:<\/p>\n
