Dans son m\u00e9moire de fin d\u2019\u00e9tudes r\u00e9alis\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019UMONS, El\u00e9a Millien a choisi d\u2019explorer une piste issue du traitement de l\u2019aphasie : la m\u00e9thode <em>Elaborated Semantic Feature Analysis<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ce travail, qui lui a valu le prix Calogero Conti 2025, s\u2019inscrit dans une d\u00e9marche de recherche appliqu\u00e9e et interroge la mani\u00e8re dont on peut accompagner autrement le d\u00e9clin s\u00e9mantique.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Une m\u00e9thode issue de l\u2019aphasie test\u00e9e dans la maladie d\u2019Alzheimer\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pendant huit semaines, quatre participantes atteintes d&rsquo;Alzheimer au stade d\u00e9butant ont \u00e9t\u00e9 accompagn\u00e9es dans des s\u00e9ances cibl\u00e9es visant \u00e0 travailler les caract\u00e9ristiques s\u00e9mantiques de mots difficiles \u00e0 retrouver. L\u2019objectif ? Renforcer les liens entre les mots et leurs significations pour tenter de r\u00e9activer leur acc\u00e8s lexical.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab <em>Deux participantes ont montr\u00e9 des r\u00e9ponses positives, avec un maintien partiel ou complet des acquis. Ce n\u2019est pas un traitement miracle, mais un levier de travail int\u00e9ressant<\/em> \u00bb, pr\u00e9cise El\u00e9a Millien.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Les r\u00e9sultats sont h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8nes : deux personnes ont progress\u00e9, deux autres ont montr\u00e9 une stabilit\u00e9 dans leurs performances \u2013 l\u00e0 o\u00f9 un d\u00e9clin est souvent attendu. L\u2019\u00e9tude \u00e9claire les potentiels et les limites d\u2019une approche encore peu utilis\u00e9e dans ce contexte.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Vers une poursuite des recherches sur la pr\u00e9vention cognitive<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aujourd\u2019hui doctorante au sein du service de Psychologie Cognitive et Neuropsychologie de l\u2019UMONS, El\u00e9a Millien approfondit cette th\u00e9matique dans une recherche doctorale centr\u00e9e sur les facteurs de protection des fonctions cognitives : r\u00e9serve cognitive, nutrition, \u00e9ducation \u00e0 la sant\u00e9&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00ab <em>Mon objectif est d\u2019explorer les leviers de pr\u00e9vention des troubles neurocognitifs, pour penser une approche globale du vieillissement cognitif<\/em> \u00bb, explique-t-elle.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ce m\u00e9moire, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 sous la direction d\u2019Isabelle Simoes Loureiro et Melike Semiz, illustre aussi comment un travail \u00e9tudiant peut nourrir des dynamiques de valorisation scientifique.
