interdisciplinarity<\/li>\n<li>Prioritise collaborative research and co-development<\/li>\n<li>Rely on partnerships with all sectors of society (industries, services, research centres, governmental institutions, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Bring together provincial, regional, federal, European and international partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Institute is active in setting up research projects, with its class=\"accordion-content\">\n            \t<div class=\"inner editor-front\">\n            \t\t<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>INTERREG France \u2013 Wallonia \u2013 Flanders \u2013 ALCOVE: Redefining Lung Cancer Screening Through Breath Analysis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The INTERREG ALCOVE project, coordinated by Lille University Hospital (CHU de Lille), aims to improve lung cancer screening in the cross-border area of France \u2013 Wallonia \u2013 Flanders, through a coordinated, multidisciplinary and innovative approach.<\/p>\n<h5>Project Objectives<\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The long-term goal of the ALCOVE project is to offer a new, non-invasive and fast tool to redefine the lung cancer screening pathway by:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Testing the use of an electronic nose by healthcare professionals as a new tool for medical dialogue<\/li>\n<li>Evaluating the electronic nose\u2019s ability to detect the potential risk of lung cancer<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating communication between at-risk populations and the healthcare system<\/li>\n<li>Involving patients, healthcare professionals and institutions in a co-construction process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ambition is to enable earlier diagnosis, better patient care, and optimized use of available
