Management and organisational studies | Centre for European Research in Microfinance | ChairES UMONS
The Management and Organisational Studies Department (MEO) teaches courses in management, organisational analysis and social economics (see Teaching activities).
Co-managed by Pr. Marc Labie (Marc.labie@umons.ac.be), it is composed of a Teaching and research associate, five researchers and a scientific coordinator (see Team).
In terms of research, the MEO department is also involved in the activities of the CERMi (Centre Européen de Recherche en Microfinance or Centre for European Research in Microfinance - http://www.cermi.eu) a centre of excellence created in 2007 in collaboration with the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the organisation of the Master of Specialisation in Microfinance (http://www.europeanmicrofinanceprogram.org/) with the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Université Paris-Dauphine (France).
In addition, the MOE department hosts the Chair in Social Economy of the UMONS (ChairES-UMONS) whose holder is Dr Cécile Godfroid (cecile.godfroid@umons.ac.be).
