Town and Regional Planning Unit
Urban Planning and Landscapes
This unit’s research focuses on all that is at stake in projects from a multidisciplinary persepctive. The teaching activities concentrate on architecture projects.
The main priorities are to:
- Group together resources, teaching practices and skills linked to architectural composition, urban planning, urban morphology, development tools, and territory representation.
- Structure and develop the themes and courses for the Master’s, specifically those linked to the restructuring of heritage buildings, urbanity, social ecology and landscaping.
- Support research projects into the quality of public spaces, post-industrial territorial developments and conversions, and new ecological landscapes.
As an extension to these functions, the unit also organises and communicates about events which inform those from other faculties, and the general public, about built environments.
