Two theses, one in psychology (Aur\u00e9lie Miceli) and one in engineering sciences (Luca La Fisca) are in progress<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Development of virtual environments for children with attention deficit disorders &#8211; combined EEG and eye movement measurements<\/p>\n<p><b>The long-term goal is to develop attention training systems by neurofeedback using the potential of virtual reality. A thesis in engineering sciences (Victor Delvigne) is in progress.<\/b><\/p>\n            \t<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n                <div class=\"accordion-inner\">\n            <div class=\"accordion-bellow\">\n                <button class=\"accordion-bellow-toggle scheme-background-hover\" data-target=\"#accordion-content-6318851abfaef\">\n                    <span class=\"icon umons-icon-chevron-down\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span> PRECLINICAL NEUROSCIENCE                <\/button>\n            <\/div>\n            <div id=\"accordion-content-6318851abfaef\" class=\"accordion-content\">\n            \t<div class=\"inner editor-front\">\n            \t\t<p>Running projects:<\/p>\n<p>Study of the role of PRDM12 in pain perception<\/p>\n<p><b>This Win2Wal project, carried out in collaboration with the developmental genetics laboratory of the ULB, aims to study the role of PRDM12 in nociception.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>A co-supervised PhD thesis is currently in progress (<\/b><b>T\u00e9l\u00e9vie<\/b><b> grant, Aurore <\/b><b>Latragna<\/b><b>) <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Study of the regulation of glutamatergic transmission by dopamine in a hyperactive rat model<\/p>\n<p><b>This European project (EJPRD 2019- URGENT) aims to understand the cellular mechanisms underlying neuronal dysfunction induced by the deregulation of dopaminergic transmission<\/b><\/p>\n            \t<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n                <div class=\"accordion-inner\">\n            <div class=\"accordion-bellow\">\n                <button class=\"accordion-bellow-toggle scheme-background-hover\" data-target=\"#accordion-content-6318851c5ec37\">\n                    <span class=\"icon umons-icon-chevron-down\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span> CLINICAL EXPERIMENTAL NEUROSCIENCE                <\/button>\n            <\/div>\n            <div id=\"accordion-content-6318851c5ec37\" class=\"accordion-content\">\n            \t<div class=\"inner editor-front\">\n            \t\t<p>Running projects:<\/p>\n<p>Study of predictive biomarkers of functional recovery after thrombolysis \/ thrombectomy<\/p>\n<p><b>This project, led by the neurology and radiology departments of the CHU-Charleroi, aims to identify blood biomarkers predictive of functional recovery after a stroke intervention. <\/b>This project is being carried out in collaboration with the Human Biology and Toxicology Department, providing expertise in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) metabonomics. A second objective of the project is to identify and predict the risk of epilepsy following a stroke by identifying EEG markers.<\/p>\n<p>NOMADe<\/p>\n<p><b>This Interreg project is a cross-border Ecosystem of learning, R&amp;D and expertise dedicated to neuromusculoskeletal disorders. <\/b>The main challenge of NOMADe is to improve the quality of the preventive or curative solutions proposed to the populations in the cross-border area by reducing the existing gap between the scientific knowledge emanating from the scientific laboratories and the field actors involved in Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal Disorders (NMSD).<\/p>\n            \t<\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n<end-cask-shortcode-wrapper>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":766,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-830","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
