{"id":17,"date":"2021-11-09T09:25:49","date_gmt":"2021-11-09T08:25:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.umons.ac.be\/sdma\/research-activities\/"},"modified":"2021-11-09T09:46:36","modified_gmt":"2021-11-09T08:46:36","slug":"research-activities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.umons.ac.be\/sdma\/en\/research-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Research activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Materials Science Department focuses its research activities on 4 main areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development and characterisation of multifunctional coatings to improve the durability of materials and give them specific properties: self-repairing, antibacterial, hydrophobic, etc. Mastering of anodisation, sol-gel, LDH, PEO (Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation) and electrodeposition processes.
