Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology Unit
The Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology Unit specialises in the evaluation and management of neuropsychological and psychopathological disorders in patients with brain damage or neurodegenerative and/or psychiatric pathologies. This evaluation is based on the performance of neuropsychological assessments and the examination of patients' emotional and behavioural difficulties. Within this framework, the Unit works on the development of psychometric tools and the elaboration of neurodiagnostic tools adapted to particular populations.
The Unit is also strongly anchored in the field of behavioural neuroscience and has co-founded the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Psychophysiology and Electrophysiology of Cognition (CiPsE) in collaboration with the UMONS Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and Faculty of Engineering.
