Cette semaine, le Pr. Laurent Lefebvre, Chef du service de Psychologie Cognitive et Neuropsychologie et Sandra Invernizzi, assistante-doctorante au sein du service, \u00e9taient \u00e0 Porto, Portugal, pour participer au Global Neuropsychological Congress. Cette conf\u00e9rence est l’enthousiasmant r\u00e9sultat de la collaboration entre les quatre grandes organisations internationales de Neuropsychologie que sont la International Neuropsychological Society (INS),<\/a> la Federation of European Neuroscience Societies – FENS <\/a><\/strong>, la Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment (ASSBI)<\/a> et la Sociedad LatinoAmericana Neuropsichologia SLAN<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

L’occasion pour eux d’assister \u00e0 de nombreuses et passionnantes conf\u00e9rences, mais aussi d’\u00e9changer avec les coll\u00e8gues des autres laboratoires.<\/p>\n

L’occasion \u00e9galement de pr\u00e9senter et discuter des r\u00e9sultats r\u00e9cents de nos recherches. Le Pr. Lefebvre pr\u00e9sentait les premiers r\u00e9sultats de la recherche men\u00e9e avec Sandrine Basaglia-Pappas (Ph.D) et la Pr. Isabelle Simoes Loureiro, sur l’utilisation de l’EMCS (\u00e9valuation multimodale des connaissances s\u00e9mantiques) aupr\u00e8s de patients atteints de maladie d’Alzheimer ou d’Aphasie Primaire Progressive variant s\u00e9mantique. Sandra Invernizzi quant \u00e0 elle pr\u00e9sentait les r\u00e9sultats de sa premi\u00e8re \u00e9tude destin\u00e9e \u00e0 diff\u00e9rencier\u00a0 la mesure de l’activation s\u00e9mantique de celle de la s\u00e9mantique ex\u00e9cutive aupr\u00e8s de personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es saines. Ses premiers r\u00e9sultats, analys\u00e9s avec Alice Bodart (assistante-doctorante) et les Pr. Simoes Loureiro et Lefebvre, montrent que certains processus pr\u00e9coces de s\u00e9mantique ex\u00e9cutive sont insensibles au vieillissement cognitif.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This week, Professor Laurent Lefebvre, Head of the Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology Department, and Sandra Invernizzi, doctoral assistant in the department, were in Porto, Portugal, to participate in the Global Neuropsychological Congress. This conference is the exciting result of collaboration between the four major international Neuropsychology organizations: the International Neuropsychological Society (INS), the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), the Australasian Society for the Study of Brain Impairment (ASSBI), and the Sociedad Latinoamericana de Neuropsicolog\u00eda (SLAN).<\/p>\n

It was an opportunity to attend many fascinating presentations and to exchange ideas with colleagues from other laboratories.<\/p>\n

It was also an occasion to present and discuss recent research findings. Professor Lefebvre presented the initial results of research conducted with Sandrine Basaglia-Pappas (Ph.D.) and Professor Isabelle Simoes Loureiro on the use of EMCS (multimodal evaluation of semantic knowledge) in patients with Alzheimer\u2019s disease or semantic variant Primary Progressive Aphasia. Sandra Invernizzi, on the other hand, presented the results of her first study aimed at differentiating the measurement of semantic activation from that of executive semantics in healthy elderly individuals. Her initial results, analyzed with Alice Bodart (doctoral assistant) and Professors Simoes Loureiro and Lefebvre, show that some early processes of executive semantics are insensitive to cognitive aging.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
