Theoretical Mechanics, Dynamics and Vibrations Unit
The Theoretical Mechanics, Dynamics and Vibrations Unit has developed three areas of expertise in its teaching and research activities: kinematics/dynamics of mechanical systems, vibrations and mechatronics/robotics.
The Theoretical Mechanics, Dynamics and Vibrations Unit is a part of the department of Mechanics of the Faculty of Enginnering of UMONS. The activities of the Unit include teaching, research and numerous industrial partnerships.
The teaching covers the theoretical mechanics for the Bachelor's students. Dynamics and Vibrations of mechanical systems, computer programming for kinematics and dynamics are taught to students specialized in Mechanics. The Service organizes also the teaching of safety, health and environment advisers (level 1).
The research of the Unit are integrated in two UMONS institutes: HEALTH and RISKS.
