Work Psychology Unit

The Work Psychology Unit conducts research on workers managing complex and dynamic work environments. Such environments are particularly suited to study the human cognition adaptation capacity. The operators’ activity is studied in close relation to the processes of change, both technical and organizational. From a practical point of view, this research field aims at the prevention of human and organizational risks as well as the promotion of well-being at work. Regarding the teaching activities, the Work Psychology Unit focuses mainly, in the 1st cycle, on the basic courses in occupational psychology, social psychology and psychosociology of organizations, and in the 2nd cycle, on courses in human resources management, ergonomics and organizational change. The Work Psychology Unit also responds to requests for studies, advice or expertise. We regularly carry out interventions in companies.
