Arriving to the conference center
Brussels Airport, the country’s main international airport, is only 50 minutes from Mons: www.brusselsairport.be
There is one direct train linking Brussels airport to Mons every hour. Attention: “Mons” is written in Dutch: “Bergen”. From Brussels South Airport, there is a shuttle from the airport to the Charleroi train station.
On foot, Campus Plaine de Nimy is just an easy 20 minutes from the station. Turn left at the station exit (map).
Check national timetables on www.belgianrail.be . Buying the tickets online is possible.
Accessing the trains does not require a seat reservation and your ticket will be valid on any train from your starting point to Mons railways station.
Mons is situated between Paris and Brussels on the E19 motorway.
From E42-E19 (Bruxelles, Liège) take the 23 bis exit : Ath-Nimy exit.
Stay on the main road during 2.5km. Turn right at the third red-light to have access to the entrance gate of the Plaine de Nimy (UMONS).
From E42-E19 (France, Tournai) take the 24 exit : Mons Centre exit.
At the roundabout, go straight. At the first and the second red-light turn left. Go straight at the third and fourth red-lights. Turn left at the next red-light to have access to the entrance gate of the Plaine de Nimy.
Accommodation
The subscription price does not include accommodation. If you wish to sleep in Mons, please check the list of hotels available in the city center here. All of them as well as the city center are at less than 20 min walking distance from the Campus.
Note : There are no shops on the campus but the campus is not far away from the city center.
