Gabriel Andres Piovano
Research interests: gravitational waves, black hole perturbation theory, celestial mechanics in black hole spacetime, data analysis for gravitational wave sources, strong gravity.
My research centres around modelling astrophysical binaries of compact objects in the regime of high curvature and relativistic speeds – i.e. in the strong gravity regime. In particular, my research focuses on modelling astrophysical binaries with asymmetric masses using black hole perturbation theory. Moreover, I am interested in the data analysis of gravitational sources observable by third generation terrestrial detectors such as the Einstein Telescope and the forthcoming space-detector LISA.
