Vincent Stragier, ISIA researcher,is presenting about "Visual impairment and modular intelligent agents" on 30/6/2022.
  • Time: Thursday, May 19 12:30
  • Location : Room Numediart, 31 Boulevard Dolez, Faculty of Engineering, UMONS
  • Speakers : Vincent Stragier (ISIA Lab researcher)
  • Title : ” Visual impairment and modular intelligent agents”
  • Summary : People with vision impairments (VI), whether visually impaired or blind, are often dependent on a third party, special accommodation, or technology of any kind. With the advent of speech recognition and text-to-speech technologies, the creation of accessibility interfaces for VI people has become widespread on computers and smartphones, albeit with some limitations. Indeed, most speech interfaces do not allow performing all the operations available for non-VI people, are rarely multimodal and do not allow the use of natural language. In this work, the objective is to build a toolbox around a conversational, multimodal, intelligent, and modular agent.
