ISIA at the IRCAM Scientific Council
IRCAM hosted a scientific counsil on April 19-20 2023 to present two of their research groups and discuss the latest developments in AI. Among the experts and researchers from around the world attending the event were Thomas Drugman, former PhD student and postdoc in ISIA Lab and currently Science Manager at Amazon, and Yann LeCun,
The council included several keynote presentations and panel discussions on various topics, such as Physical Modeling by Prof. Stefan Bilbao (University of Edinburgh). During an open forum, views and opinions on limitations of well-known AI models were shared and suggestions for future directions contributed to the discussions.
The general view was that the council was a success and has contributed to ongoing efforts to promote interdisciplinary research and foster international collaborations.
