PhD student M. Benkedadra at Hannover Messe 2023

From 16th to 21st April 2023 was organised the Hannover Messe 2023 (Germany). During this international trade fair, PhD student Mohamed Benkedadra had the opportunity to represent UMons and Wallonia with a stand partially dedicated to his thesis.

Mohamed presented the project Field Worker Protection, a collaboration between UMONS (ILIA & ISIA) and INFRABEL. The project was managed by Sidi Ahmed Mahmoudi (ILIA) & Matei Mancas (ISIA) and combined the work of reseachers such as Mohamed or Otmane Amel. The goal is to create an easily deployable system that uses 3D Vision to secure construction sites.

His presence at the UMons stand was also a great opportunity to meet with industrials and potential research partners from all around the globe (France, South Korea, USA, …) or create contacts with closer partners (FlandersMake).
