Cell Biology Unit

Having expertise in molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry, the Cell Biology laboratory is studying the functional role of proteins involved in viral infections as well as in of the male human fertility. In order to achieve this, we use a variety of techniques, such as yeast two-hybrid, Gaussia princeps complementation assay (GPCA), recombinant proteins production and purification, subcellular protein localization by using confocal fluorescence microscopy, manipulation and production of several cancer cell lines, amplification and virus manipulations, and many others.
