Community Services

The Institute offers a wide variety of services: carrying out limited feasibility studies prior to the start of a project, resolving technical problems, instrumenting buildings or equipment to carry out energy audits, offering the skills of our researchers to resolve a limited size problem in a timely manner, etc.

Examples of services: placement of temperature and humidity sensors in a zero energy building to monitor the behaviour of walls, execution of a simplified study of a storage system before installation, digital characterisation of chassis performance, etc.

The Energy Institute also offers high-voltage laboratory tests: testing of overhead power lines for transport networks, lightning transformer testing, high-voltage and rain testing for electrical machines, and measurements of dielectric loss, capacitance and electrical resistivity.
