CETIC
CETIC is a Centre for Research in Information and Communication Technologies,
founded jointly by UCL, UMONS and UNAMUR in 2001 and based in Charleroi (Aeropole).
Its mission is to support regional economic development by transferring the most innovative results from applied research in Information and Communication Technologies to Walloon companies, and SMEs in particular.
CETIC helps companies integrate these technological advances more quickly into their new products, processes or services, enabling them to innovate faster, reduce risk, and develop new markets.
CETIC develops key expertise in the digital sector, such as Big Data, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, software quality and the reliability of computer systems. These innovations are applied to many fields, including health, mobility and industry. These are constantly reinforced through numerous collaborations at European and regional level.
