MULTITEL Innovation Center
Multitel is a research centre in Telecommunications, Signal and Image Processing, founded in 1995 by the former Engineering Faculty of Mons.
Multitel and UMONS have remained very close and collaborate on numerous projects in the fields of Telecommunications and Signal Processing.
Multitel’s priority mission is to help Walloon companies integrate new technologies more effectively into their products, processes and services, in order to improve competitiveness and achieve sustainable economic prosperity.
In addition, over the years, Multitel has developed and integrated emerging technologies within the industrial sector regionally and internationally to help companies meet technological challenges.
To stimulate innovation within companies, Multitel’s teams are involved in 2 major activities:
-
Actively participating in regional and European research programmes.
As a partner or coordinator, Multitel carries out applied research tasks for the common purpose of a project defined by a consortium of different actors. These projects are eligible for regional, European or mixed funding, depending on the type of call.
-
Meeting the specific demands of companies,
accompanying them in their innovation processes, by carrying out various types of services (technological guidance, technical tests, feasibility studies, prototyping and small series, etc.).
