ISIA researchers at IMX 2023

Nantes, France - From June 12 to 15, six members from ISIA (A. Maiorca, E. Ennadifi, F. Rocca, M. Mancas, M. Benkedadra and V. Stragier) attended the ACM IMX 2023.

Nantes, France – From June 12 to 15, the ACM IMX 2023 conference served as a hub for researchers in the field of Interactive Media Experiences. Six members from ISIA (A. Maiorca, E. Ennadifi, F. Rocca, M. Mancas, M. Benkedadra and V. Stragier) joined the event, which also functioned as a pre-meeting for the upcoming TRAIL Summer Workshop 2023. Throughout the week, attendees presented Work in Progress papers, showcasing their latest findings and advancements.

Notable figures in the field were present, including Meta. Among the participants were Patrick Le Callet, a professor at the University of Nantes, and Frédérique Krupa from the Digital Design Lab, Nantes-Atlantique.

A key highlight of the event was the series of workshops that covered diverse aspects of interactive media experiences. The workshops included “Dancing with Technology,” “SensoryX,” the “Workshop on Intelligent Cinematography and Editing,” and the “Workshop on Emotions in Movies”.

During the presentations, the ISIA researchers shared their ongoing projects. Elias Ennadifi presented his work on “Enhancing VR Gaming Experience using Computational Attention Models and Eye-Tracking”. François Rocca presented a poster on “Designing an Assistance Tool for Analyzing and Modeling Trainer Activity in Professional Training Through Simulation.” Another presentation was delivered by Antoine Maiorca, who discussed his work on “Validating Objective Evaluation Metric: Is Fréchet Motion Distance able to Capture Foot Skating Artifacts?”
