The 16th Annual ACM SIGGRAPH Conference on Motion, Interaction and Games (MIG) brought together researchers and industrials from various fields to share their work. Among them was Antoine Maiorca, who presented a paper titled “Objective Evaluation Metric for Motion Generative Models: Validating Fréchet Motion Distance on Foot Skating and Over-smoothing Artifacts“. The paper proposes the validation of objective metrics, particularly the Fréchet distance, on motion generative models based on the Transformer architecture.

The conference, held at the INRIA Convention center (Rennes, France) was a way for industrials and academics to discuss the new innovations in natural motion and interactions. Across the span of three days, four keynotes, three industrial talks and numerous papers and posters were presented. More information on the conference website: https://project.inria.fr/mig2023/
