Associated Research Centres
- Centre of Innovation and Research in MAterials & Polymers – CIRMAP
The Centre of Innovation and Research in MAterials & Polymers (CIRMAP) of the Faculty of Science gathers 160 researchers including 43 PhD students and 46 postdocs, representing 25 different nationalities. The Centre focuses its expertise on the chemistry of novel materials, plasma-surface interactions, interfaces and complex fluids as well as polymeric and composite materials.
- Materials Engineering Research Centre – CRIM
The Materials Engineering Research Centre (CRIM) of the UMONS Faculty of Engineering combines all activities of the Faculty’s departments, all the while developing its research in the field of materials. CRIM aims to be a centre of expertise active in the field of materials, from the design stage to use, including their characterisation and the various forming processes.
- LCentre for Research in Materials Physics – CRPM
The CRPM integrates different research groups of the UMONS Physics Department, active in materials physics. The themes covered by the expertise of current members include physics of surfaces and interfaces, biosensors, optical and magnetic properties of materials, and micro- and nanophotonics.
