PARKAR (DGO06, WALInov)

The objective of the ParkAR project is to carry out research and develop innovative solutions to achieve interactions in augmented reality with small groups of people.

Augmented reality requires consistency of virtual content and the surrounding real space through specialised glasses such as the high-profile Microsoft HoloLens. While the development of augmented reality for a single individual has been widely explored by manufacturers of glasses and visualisation headsets, group interaction of individuals in a common physical space remained unexplored until the implementation of this project, which brings together two universities (including UMONS through the NUMEDIART Institute) and an industrial partner (Alterface SA).
