We are proud to announce the acceptance of our second review about cyclic polymers, which will be published in Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry. Cyclic polymers have been considered a hot topic for over two decades now. This research topic has been initiated in our group with the work of Thomas Josse as early as 2010, and we have been very active actors in the field since then.

This review aims to provide an up-to-date overview on the state of the art of cyclic polymers. The history of their preparation is summarized, and the challenges related to their synthesis such as their purification and the scalability of the synthetic processes are addressed. Finally, the influence of the cyclic topology on the properties of materials are discussed, as well as the potential use of cyclo-based polymers for biomedical applications.
