The place of work is Chemical and Biochemical Process Engineering Process, and the area of employment is UMONS (University of Mons, Belgium) with related departments.

Chemical and Biochemical Process Engineering is a multidisciplinary research area. It includes materials, environmental technologies, biotechnology and biorefining, and CO2 capture technology. The research is based on both theoretical and experimental methods, and include the design, development, operation, monitoring, control, and optimisation of chemical, physical and biological processes. Chemical and Biochemical Process Engineering Unit holds a special position of international strength in scientific activities related to CO2 capture by absorption, environmental biotechnology, biogas production, and online/off-line analytical monitoring of the process. The department is part of the Faculty of Engineering (Polytech) of UMONS.

Formalities and salary range

Salary depends on seniority (Max. 6 year) and are in accordance with the internal University agreement.

Expected start date and duration of employment: The Post-Doc is expected to start at 1 July 2023 for a duration of 2 ½ years, for later engagement the end of the PostDoc will be December 2025.
