Description

Conducting a systematic review of the literature

What are the objectives of a literature review? How to make my review ‘systematic’? What is the difference with a ‘meta-analysis’? How to proceed, concretely? What are the strengths and weaknesses of a systematic review? How to articulate the results of my review with my research? May I publish my systematic review in a scientific journal, and how?

The seminar addresses these questions by presenting PRISMA, an approach for reporting systematic literature reviews. The seminar will be illustrated with concrete applications from the political and social sciences.

A PROPOS DU FORMATEUR

Stéphane Moyson is an assistant professor of public administration and public policy space at the Institut de Sciences Politiques Louvain-Europe of the Université catholique de Louvain. He works on two research programmes, as a researcher. The first aims to facilitate the policy change processes through a better understanding of decision-makers’ cognition and social interactions. In doing so, Stéphane Moyson focuses on technical and/or economic policy sectors such as railways or energy. In the second research programme, he is interested in official-citizen interactions in the judicial sector (http://www.uclouvain.be/stephane.moyson).
