Rencontre internationale du réseau FIT-Choice à Oxford début juillet

Cette question était au centre de la rencontre internationale du réseau FIT-Choice (Factors Influencing Teaching (FIT)-Choice) à Oxford début juillet, où Emilie CAROSIN a représenté l’INAS et l’EFE.

La rencontre était organisée par le Department of Education de l’Université d’Oxford. Ce réseau, animé par la Professeure invitée Helen Watt (University of Sydney) et le Professeur émérite Paul Richardson (Monash University), rassemble des chercheurs du monde entier engagés dans l’étude des motivations à devenir enseignant.

🔍 L’événement a réuni des participants de plus de 15 pays en présentiel (Australie, Autriche, Belgique, Croatie, Danemark, Finlande, Allemagne, Serbie, Espagne, Royaume-Uni, États-Unis…) et 10 autres chercheurs en virtuel (Chili, Canada, Turquie, Hong Kong, France, Mexique…).

🎓 Emilie a eu l’opportunité de présenter deux recherches menées en Belgique francophone :

• Derrider (2024) : Mémoire sur les facteurs motivationnels post-réforme de la formation initiale.

What motivates teachers to enter the profession, stay in it (or leave), and how do contextual factors influence these choices?

These questions were at the heart of the International FIT-Choice Network Meeting (Factors Influencing Teaching (FIT)-Choice) held at the University of Oxford in early July, where Emilie CAROSIN proudly represented INAS and EFE.

Organised by the Department of Education at the University of Oxford, the event was led by Visiting Professor Helen Watt (University of Sydney) and Emeritus Professor Paul Richardson (Monash University), and brought together researchers from around the world committed to studying teacher motivation.

🌍 Over 15 countries were represented in person (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Serbia, Spain, UK, USA…) and 10 more joined virtually (Chile, Canada, Turkey, Hong Kong, France, Mexico…).

🎓 Emilie presented two studies from French-speaking Belgium:

• Derrider (2024): Master’s thesis on motivational factors following the reform of initial teacher training.
