Internships and partnerships

The EUNICE University benefits from a solid network of partnerships with companies, research centres and players in the social, public and cultural spheres throughout Europe.

Some of these partners play a central role in our European university, as Associate Partners in the project. Each university in the consortium therefore benefits from the support of players in its region in the organisation of specific actions. UMONS is currently working with 7 associated partners:

  1. Public Centre for Social Action of the City of Mons
  2. Stoquart S.A.
  3. Cabinet Balate & Associés
  4. CHU Ambroise Paré, University Hospital Centre
  5. Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia
  6. IDEA Cœur de Hainaut, Intercommunal economic development and planning association
  7. Materia Nova, Research Centre

However, EUNICE partnerships extend far beyond this. Thanks to its network, the European university has been able to develop an International Internships and Reserach Stays Portal (EIR) that puts students at all levels looking for an internship in touch with companies that want to host international interns. More than 200 internship locations are listed. For these organisations, this is an opportunity to diversify their staff profiles by attracting international students with enriching backgrounds.

Specific calls can also be placed on the platform by the partner organisations, stipulating the periods, objectives and duration of the placements and the profile of the future trainee, in order to reflect the reality of the work and the structure of the organisation in question as closely as possible.

There are also partnerships with companies and research centres for the development of research projects that can help to meet the challenges of tomorrow’s world. For example, EUNICE aims to promote international theses that bring together companies, universities and researchers to develop innovative projects.

Finally, developing the desire for entrepreneurship among students at EUNICE universities is a central concern of our consortium, which is putting in place a number of initiatives that reflect this. One example is the organisation of the EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup – a competition for young entrepreneurs, or the Contamination Labs (virtual labs dedicated to entrepreneurship).
