Courses at the Faculty of Science
The Faculty of Science offers courses in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics, all the way from Bachelor to PhD level, on the Mons campus. In collaboration with ULB, the Faculty offers an evening and weekend Master’s in Computer Science.
After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics or physics, students will be able to pursue a Master’s degree in the corresponding discipline
These are the courses on offer:
- Master’s in Biology of Organisms and Ecology (research focus, teaching focus, or specialist focus on Eco-Consultancy Careers)
- Master’s in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cell Biology (research focus, teaching focus, or specialist focus)
- Master’s in Chemistry (Chemistry and Materials Sciences or Organic Spectroscopy)
- Master’s in Computer Science (research focus or specialist focus)
- Master’s in Mathematics (research focus or teaching focus)
- Master’s in Mathematics (specialist focus on Careers in Finance or in Computer Science)
- Master’s in Physics (research focus: Fundamental Interactions or Materials Science)
- Master’s in Physics (research focus, or teaching focus)
If students wish to go into teaching, obtaining a Master’s with a teaching focus, or with a specific teacher training option, will enable students to teach upper secondary education.
Pursuing a PhD is possible in all of the disciplines listed above.
