Courses and Degrees
The teaching approach at the FTI is very specific, in that graduates from the faculty must be able to translate or interpret highly specialised documents and interventions from at least 2 languages after acquiring a minimum of 180 credits for the Bachelor’s degree and 120 credits for the Master’s degree.
In order to attain such broad and advanced linguistic and cultural skills, it is vital that graduates have an in-depth knowledge of the subject matter to be translated, whether the subject be the environment, politics, economics, sociology, or more of an intellectual nature. The different courses taught are therefore essential for their training.
Furthermore, in order to meet these objectives, students must have perfect command of the language which they will translate into, French.
