As part of the Scientific Missions of the FNRS, the Unit of Theoretical Mechanics, Dynamics and Vibrations is pleased to welcome Prof. David Patrick Connolly as Invited Professor for one month (June-July period). Prof. Connolly is Professor of Railway Engineering within the School of Civil Engineering (University of Leeds, UK). He is known for his work on railway track dynamics, ground-borne vibration, settlement and geotechnical engineering. He is a core member of the Institute for High Speed Rail and Systems Integration, where he leads on railway track related research.
