Prof. Marc DEMEUSE

Psychologue et statisticien, Marc Demeuse est professeur à l’Université de Mons (Belgique), en Faculté de psychologie et des sciences de l’éducation. Il y dirige l’Institut d’administration scolaire et est impliqué dans plusieurs projets et réseaux de chercheurs au niveau européen (notamment le «Network of experts in Social Sciences of Education and training», NESSE). Il a participé, comme expert, à la production des premiers indicateurs européens de la qualité de l’éducation scolaire (2000) et a piloté la réalisation d’un ensemble d’indicateurs d’équité des systèmes éducatifs en Europe. Il consacre une partie de ses recherches aux politiques ciblées (ZEP, discriminations positives …), notamment dans une perspective comparative. Il participe, comme expert, à différentes commissions et organes de pilotage du système éducatif belge francophone (Commission de pilotage, Institut de formation en cours de carrière des enseignants).

Psychologist and statistician, Marc Demeuse is professor at the University of Mons (Belgium), in the department of psychology and educational sciences. He heads the schools Administration Institute and is involved in several projects and research networks at European level (notably the Network of experts in Social Sciences of Education and Training (NESSE). He participated, in the capacity of expert, in producing the first European indicators for assessing school education quality (2000) and steered the development of a set of indicators of equity of education systems in Europe. A part of his research is given to targeted policies (ZEP, positive discrimination …), notably of a comparative nature. He has a role of expert in various commissions and steering committees of the French-speaking, Belgian education system (steering commission, continuing training for teachers).

Er leitet das « Institut d’administration scolaire » und ist an mehreren Forschungsprojekten und -netzwerken auf europäischer Ebene beteiligt (insbesondere am « Network of Experts in Social Sciences of Education and Training » – NESSE). Er beteiligte sich als Experte an der Erstellung der ersten europäischen Indikatoren für die Qualität der Schulbildung (2000) und leitete die Schaffung einer Anzahl von Indikatoren für die Äquivalenz zwischen Schulsystemen in Europa. Er widmet einen Teil seiner Forschungstätigkeiten gezielten politischen Themen (« Zones d’éducation prioritaire » – ZEP, positive Diskriminierun usw.), insbesondere unter vergleichenden Gesichts-punkten. Er beteiligt sich als Experte an verschiedenen Kommissionen und Organen zur Lenkung des französisch-belgischen Bildungssystems (Lenkungsausschuss, berufliches Weiterbildungsinstitut für Lehrende).
