15 UMONS Experts Among the Top 2% of Scientists in the World

A list ranking the world's most cited and most influential scientists has just been published by researchers at Stanford University (USA). This list includes 15 researchers from our university, which confirms the quality of the scientific research carried out at UMONS.

A list ranking the world’s most cited and most influential scientists has just been published by researchers at Stanford University (USA).

This list includes 15 researchers from our university, which confirms the quality of the scientific research carried out at UMONS.

These 15 experts are indeed among the top 2% of scientists in the world.

The Top 2% Scientists is a worldwide database of leading university researchers and scientists.

This global ‘ranking’ is based on the number of scientific publications and the number of scientific citations by peers, according to data provided by Scopus, the leading database for scientific publications.

The list includes more than 160,000 scientists from all over the world.  They are divided into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-categories.

The 15 UMONS researchers on this list are active (or have been until very recently) in a wide variety of key disciplines.

On the list are:
