Late registration or re-registration (for financeable and non-financeable students) – Registration and re-registration for non-financeable students
Late re-registration request requiring authorisation from the Dean
To be completed from 1st October until 15th February at the latest.
According to the UMONS General Study Regulations applicable for the current academic year and more specifically the provisions of Article 17, the (re)registration period ends on 30th September. From 1st October until 15th February at the latest, late applications for (re)registration may be submitted to the Dean for derogation.
Procedure:
The form, available on the French page, duly completed and signed by the student, must be emailed in PDF format to the Registration Office at the following address: demandesderogatoires@umons.ac.be. The candidate must ensure that all relevant documents are submitted with their request. Please note that no requests can be sent by post or submitted in person.
Late registration requests must be justified.
The request will be sent to the Dean of the Faculty concerned for consideration.
For students who need to renew their residence permit, you must add the words ‘residence permit renewal’ in the subject line of the e-mail (this is compulsory, otherwise priority will not be given to the request).
Candidates will be notified by e-mail of the Dean’s reasoned decision.
If the candidate is accepted, they must go to the Registration Office in order to finalise their re-registration.
Attention: The purpose of the late application for registration is not to enable a student who has already submitted an application for admission/registration in accordance with the deadlines set by the General Study Regulations to obtain, by circumventing this procedure, an extension of the registration deadlines, provisional registration, regularisation of the payment of the deposit, or the possibility of submitting a second identical application to the same or another FWB higher education institution, in order to circumvent a decision by the institution to refuse an initial application.
A late application for registration submitted by a non-EU applicant in the absence of a visa (or following the late issue of a visa that does not allow the applicant to be on Belgian territory by 30th September at the latest) will therefore not be accepted.
