Description

The objectives of the Advanced Master’s degree in Gender Studies are:

  • To acquire knowledge and theoretical, practical and methodological tools that are useful and necessary for understanding and mastering the theoretical and historical foundations underlying gender studies from a multi- and inter-disciplinary perspective;
  • To apply theoretical and/or practical knowledge when writing a dissertation and, possibly (depending on the student’s choices), acquire professional skills through a work placement;
  • To develop expertise enabling graduates of gender studies to be recognised as leading experts capable of monitoring developments in the field and providing insight, analysis and action.

Target audience

This course is designed for people working or wishing to work in the field of public equality policies, human resources, training, career assessment and guidance, and project management linked to the promotion of equality in universities, companies, NGOs, national or international organisations, associations or government departments.

Program and structure

Access conditions

Subject to the general conditions set by the academic authorities, students who meet the conditions for access to the academic degree attesting to second-cycle studies and who hold a second-cycle qualification, in or outside the French Community, or who have acquired skills recognised by the admissions committee for at least 300 credits, have access to the Advanced Master's in Gender Studies.
