One thing about the Faculty of Science is that its teaching is linked to research through personal projects and lab work, all of which is supervised by faculty researchers.

Our research teams have an exceptional international reputation. Among all higher education institutions in Hainaut, the Faculty of Science is one of the most active in scientific research. Its biologists, chemists, computer scientists, physicists and mathematicians are not only teachers, but also researchers involved in many national and international programmes in both basic and applied research.

In addition, all kinds of placements during the Master’s are of paramount importance. These placements take place in companies, research laboratories, teaching establishments, and other organisations.

Finally, students are actively involved in research outreach programmes.
