Target audience

Students interested in computer science at university level.

Program and structure

The course runs over a period of three years and is designed to give students a solid grounding in both the theoretical and practical aspects of computer science, equipping them with all the skills required for a career in computer science. The core curriculum includes courses in algorithms and programming, databases, operating systems, artificial intelligence, networks, and the mathematical foundations of computer science.

The main objectives of the Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science are as follows:

  • Teach the principles of design and analysis (development, modelling, validation, etc.);
  • Illustrate these aspects through exercises, practical work and projects carried out firstly in groups and then gradually on an individual basis. The practical assignments are designed to develop students’ autonomy and innovation;
  • Develop abstraction and modelling skills, as well as a critical mind, thanks to a conceptual and scientific approach;
  • Develop versatility and adaptation to diverse and often multidisciplinary environments.

Teaching profile

The programme description defines the expected learning outcomes at the end of the cycle (Bachelor's, Master's, etc.). The programme description defines the expected learning outcomes, i.e. what the student should know, understand and be able to achieve at the end of a learning activity, a teaching unit or a study cycle (Bachelor's, Master's, etc.). Learning outcomes are defined in terms of knowledge, expertise and soft skills.

At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of the subject.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer technology.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills in related fields.
  • Manage IT projects.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of scientific processes.
  • Understand the basics of communication.
