Description
This 120-credit Master’s degree offers specialised training to prepare students for scientific research and doctoral studies. This includes an introductory research project, a scientific mission in a research centre and a research-oriented dissertation. Students can also choose to take courses in key areas of computer science and social studies.

Target audience
Students with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or who are eligible to transfer to the Master’s in Computer Science.
Program and structure
The Master’s degree in Computer Science (Research Focus) consists of a combination of courses in advanced computer science and introductory research disciplines. It prepares the student for research activities in an academic institution or an academic or industrial research centre. This is also an ideal course to prepare students for more traditional IT jobs.
The 1st 60-credit block of the Master’s degree (Research) is identical to that of the specialist focus. It includes several advanced courses covering key topics in computer science. It also includes an introductory research project, an important assignment in preparation for the Master’s dissertation.
The 2nd block includes a scientific mission in a research centre, elective courses and a final dissertation to be presented and defended before a board of examiners.
Teaching profile

- Manage research, development and innovation projects
- Master communication techniques
- Develop and implement a high degree of autonomy
- Apply scientific methodology.
