Description

This 120-credit Master’s degree offers specialised training to prepare students for their future careers. This includes a project, a work placement and a dissertation. Students can also choose to take courses in key areas of computer science and social studies.

Target audience

Students with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or who are eligible to transfer to the Master’s in Computer Science. 

Program and structure

The Master’s degree in Chemistry (Specialist Focus) consists of a combination of courses in advanced computer science and specific disciplines that are in demand on the job market. It prepares students for their future employment. 

The 1st 60-credit block consists of several advanced courses covering key topics in computer science, as well as a substantial project in preparation for the Master’s dissertation. 

The 2nd block includes a 10-week placement in a company, elective courses and a final dissertation to be presented and defended before a board of examiners. 

Teaching profile

The programme description defines the expected learning outcomes at the end of the cycle (Bachelor's, Master's, etc.). The programme description defines the expected learning outcomes, i.e. what the student should know, understand and be able to achieve at the end of a learning activity, a teaching unit or a study cycle (Bachelor's, Master's, etc.). Learning outcomes are defined in terms of knowledge, expertise and soft skills. 

At the end of the course, students will be able to: 

  • Use their acquired professional skills according to the objectives of the degree programme 
  • Apply their highly specialised and integrated knowledge and broad skills in the various disciplines of computer science, complementing those acquired at Bachelor's level 
  • Manage major IT development projects 
  • Manage research, development and innovation projects 
  • Master communication techniques 
  • Develop and implement a high degree of autonomy 
  • Apply scientific methodology.
